At Kitmere, we believe privacy is fundamental. We collect only the minimum data required to operate this website, evaluate our content, and provide software recommendations.

1. Web Analytics: Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cookieless)

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand general traffic trends (such as page views and popular guides).

  • Cloudflare says Web Analytics does not collect or use visitors' personal data (Cloudflare docs, checked 2026-10-03).
  • Cloudflare says it does not use client-side state such as cookies or localStorage for analytics, and does not track visitors over time by IP address, user agent or fingerprinting (Cloudflare blog).

2. Outbound Link Redirects & Click Logging (/go/)

When you click outbound affiliate or recommendation links routed through our /go/ redirect paths, our server logs a minimal click record to monitor broken links and partner effectiveness.

Specifically, we record only:

  • Timestamp: The date and time of the click.
  • Offer slug: Which product or tool link was clicked.
  • Source tag (src): An optional internal campaign or post identifier.
  • Country: The high-level geographic country determined by Cloudflare's edge.
  • User-agent family: A generalized category (e.g. "Safari", "Chrome", "Instagram in-app browser").
  • Referring site: Only the domain name of the page you came from (e.g. "instagram.com"), never the full address.
  • Redirect result: Whether the link was valid.

What we NEVER log: We do NOT log full IP addresses. We do NOT log full user-agent strings. We do NOT store browser fingerprints or associate clicks with personal identities.

3. Newsletter & Email Signups (beehiiv)

If you choose to subscribe to our email updates, your email address is processed and stored by our email provider, beehiiv.

  • Your email is used only to send the updates you signed up for.
  • We will never sell, rent, or trade your email address to third parties or spammers.
  • You can unsubscribe at any time with a single click using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email.

4. Settings Stored in Your Browser

The site saves two small settings in your own browser's local storage: your light or dark theme choice, and which steps you ticked on the launch checklist. They stay on your device, are never sent to us, and you can clear them by clearing your browser's site data.

5. No Other Trackers or Advertising Networks

We run no other trackers. We do not use Facebook Pixels, Google Ads remarketing tags, cross-site tracking beacons, or third-party advertising cookies.

6. External Links

Our articles contain links to external third-party software websites. Once you leave our site, the privacy policies and practices of those external sites govern your interaction with them. We encourage you to review their respective privacy notices.

7. Contact Us

If you have questions about our privacy practices, or wish to request data deletion, contact us at: [email protected].
